From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot was making a normal approach to 28L at (cmh). He stated everything appeared normal. "At "sumie" I put the gear down, I saw green and continued landing sequence. Everything was ok after touch down, and then the nose fell to the runway." The aircraft was placed on jacks to inspect the nose gear landing system. Inspection showed that one of the two bolts that connect the nose gear aft drag brace assembly to the inboard and outboard arms sheared off. When this happened, the forward extension/retraction control tube linear movement was restricted. The restriction caused the control tube to bend. The bent control tube prevented the nose gear from being completely extended and locked.
