From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

They left tara field stopped at peachtree dekalb and arrived at Winder the second leg. The pilot was instructed to perform a simulated emergency landing. The pilot stated that he felt a shuttering or fluttering feeling as though he had gear extension. The CFI stated he inquired on whether the gear was extended and was given an affirmative answer from the pilot and gave additional instructions for a soft field landing. The pilot stated he did pull the gear selector switch to down position and thought he saw three green lights. The pilot landed the aircraft and slid approximately 75 to 85 feet before coming to a stop on the runway. The aircraft landed with gear up, and received minor damage. The aircraft was lifted up during the runway removal process and the on scene IA stated the gears fell out into position.
