From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft contacted the ground near the approach end of the runway (17) on a base leg heading, or perpendicular to the runway. It touched down hard about 20 feet east of the north/south parallel taxiway traveling west. The nosewheel folded crossing the taxiway, the right main gear leg came off after crossing the taxiway, and the aircraft stopped about halfway between the taxiway and runway still traveling west. The pilot was not injured. When interviewed the following day he was unable to explain why he was so low while still perpendicular to the runway. He could not remember if the engine was running or not. He said he attempted to make a go-around but the engine didn't respond.
