From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After completing touch and go landings, the student pilot was attempting to clear the runway when she noticed a fuel truck on the taxiway she had been using. The pilot stated she was not sure what to do so she stopped on the runway and asked the tower controller for instructions. The controller then firmly told her to "clear the runway move." After clearing she asked for further instructions, and was reprimanded by the controller further. She then stated that the fuel truck had moved further to the side to allow her to pass. While attempting to maneuver around the vehicle, she made contact with the left wing and the fuel truck. (.19) on June 20, 2002, at 0920 central daylight time, a Cessna 172N, N4808F, collided with a fuel truck while taxiing off of runway 24R (2,499 feet by 75 feet, dry, asphalt) after landing at the Crystal Airport, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The student pilot and the driver of the fuel truck were uninjured. The airplane was substantially damaged. The CFR 14 part 91 solo instructional flight was operating in visual meteorological conditions without a flight plan. The flight originated at the Crystal Airport, at an undetermine d time.
