What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot was following traffic to land on runway 27. Pilot abruptly pulled up from flare, when his pax warned of imminent collision with another aircraft. Mr. Clark's PA-20 stalled and landed hard. Witness accounts vary as to existence or location of second plane, but Mr. Clark was most certainly trying to avoid a perceived midair collision. Total airframe hours not reported because log books unavailable. Airframe time is not pertinent to the investigation.
