From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At approx. 2100 PDT on 07/26/2002 AMF110 N3527D inbound from smx diverted to bur from EMT because the pilot could not get a green light for the left main landing gear. All attempts were made to lower the left gear down (the nose and right main functioned normally). After discussion with hoime maintenance and all attempts failed the pilot made a two wheel landing at bur. The aircraft laned on runway 15 and came to rest just off center line at approx. 2000' from the approach end of 15. Maintenance crews used air bags to lift the left wing, they got a jack in place the raise it further, at which time it was found to have a broken forward hinge to the left inner main landing gear door, the hinge had broken allowing the door to jam at about half open, keeping the left landing gear in the well. The door was repositioned and the landing gear went to the down and locked position, the aircraft was towed to the hangar. Damage was minor to the assist step at the wing root, left prop tips, the left flap, aileron, wing tip and a small portion of the lower wing skin.
