From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At about 1500 local time the pilot was taxiing to runway 28 when he realized that he did not program the GPS correctly. He continued to the end of the taxiway out of the way of traffic. After reprogramming the GPS, he turned the aircraft around for takeoff and the right landing gear went into the grass and across a steel plate covering a drain on the edge of the taxiway. The plate gave way and the right main wheel dropped into the drain. The right wing tip and stabilator contacted the ground damaging both. The right landing gear box had several sheared rivets. There were no injuries.
