What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 1, 2002 at about 1345 EDT a Piper PA-32R-301, registered to b & b contracting inc., experienced a collapse of the right main gear on landing at fort Lauderdale executive airport, fort Lauderdale FL, while on apersonal flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and a IFR flight plan was filed. The aircraft was substantially damaged and there were no injuries to the private rated pilot or his passenger. The pilot stated that on landing rollout as he applied braking action the plane veered left and no amount of right rudder would correct the problem. At this time the right main gear collapsed and the aircraft spun around approximately 180 degrees and came to a stop on the runway. Examination of the aircraft after the accident revealed that the aircraft experienced a great amount of side load causing both the left and right main gear to collapse to the left, causing substantial damage to the right wing. (.19) on August 1, 2002, at 1347 eastern daylight tine a Piper PA-32R-301, N957T, registered to b & b contracting and operated by the pilot, right main landing gear collapsed while taxiing after landing at fort Lauderdale exe cutive airport in fort Lauderdale, Florida. The personal flight operated under the provisions of title 14 CFR part 91 with an instrument flight plan filed. Visual weather conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The airplane sustained substantial damage, and the private pilot and passenger was not injured. The flight departed naples, Florida, at an undetermined time. According to the pilot, as he applied brakes during rollout on the taxiway, the airplane veered left. Efforts to correct the left drift failed. The airplane continued off the pavement, rotated 180 degrees, and came to rest back on the runway. Post-accident examination of the airplane revealed that the right main landing gear had collapsed.

As the FAA filed it
