From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) As stated by the pilot: Mr. Phillips stated that on the morning of August 3, 2002 he had flown to tuscaloosa to attend a wedding and then had flown back to Moontown Airport that afternoon. Mr. Phillips stated that his approach was normal coming into Moontown when he touched down he stated that his braking action was not good so he applied full brakes. At that point the aircraft started to skid on the grass and slid off the end of the runway just bending the prop slightly. There were two passengers on board the aircraft one of which was a certified pilot. When asked how much experience he had flying into that particular airport he stated that he had done his private pilot and instrument rating flying at Moontown Airport.
