From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At 0903 the gem county mosquito abatement aircraft crashed while conducting aerial operations east-northeast of Emmett, Idaho. Witnesses observed the aircraft make a pass from north to south and reverse course turning toward the east into rising terrain and in the direction of highspan high-voltage powerlines. Witnesses observed the aircraft fly directly into the powerlines while making the easterly run. The impact with the powerlines severed the right wing causing separation and loss of control. The aircraft impacted the ground inverted. Both the pilot and mosquito abatement employee were fatally injured.
