(-23) After banner towing, the banner was dropped. The landing was attempted on runway 29 at Merritt Island Airport (coi), Merritt Island, Florida. The wind was from the north at 17 knots. As the aircraft slowed on the ground, it began to yaw into the wind. The pilot attempted to correct the yaw and added brakes. He said that the brakes seemed to be poor and did not overcome the turn/yaw and the aircraft proceeded to ground loop and hit the left wing causing wing spar damage.
