What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Went to Tipton airport to look at aircraft. Inspected aircraft and did not find evidence of gear collapse. Tires and gear doors were not marked or scraped. Belly scraped severely and all 3 prop blades were bent. Nose gear doors were scraped very bad. Checked gear lights and they worked properly. Talked with the owner of the aircraft and he stated that he just forgot to put the gear down. Owner said he had on a set of bose headsets and probably would not have heard the warning horn go off. Pilot stated that he had a check list and did use it but he may have missed or skimmed over the gear down and locked item.
