From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 08-17-2002 at approximately 0945 local time, the pilot of a seabee RC-3 N6007K made a gear-up landing at the Spokane Felts Field Airport (sff). The pilot reported that during the approach to the airport he had selected gear-down but was distracted by ATC instructions and looking out for other aircraft and never pumped the gear down. The pilot also reported that the tower notified him to go around during the flare phase of the landing but he was unable to initiate a go-around prior to contacting the ground. The aircraft appears to have no damage other than skid damage to the keel.
