What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot was going to relocate the aircraft from the inland airstrip to the beach strip. During the takeoff from the inland airstrip, the soft sand pulled the aircraft to the left and into the trees before the pilot could get the aircraft stopped. The airstrip is approximately 35-40 ft wide. According to the pilot, there was a 6-8 mph x-wind, but he didn't think this was a factor as the trees blocked most wind.
