From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Annual inspection was completed on 09/2/2002. O-rings in nose gear were changed and landing gear cycled and test flown with no discrepanies noted. Several flight have been made with no problems noted. After landing at the Hayward airport and taxiing off ramp the main landing gear right side started to retract due to a hydraulic valve leaking. This valve causes a lizuid lock to hold the gear down and locked. Check valve was replaced and gear locks in the down position.
