From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) N1194C, BE-200 inbound to Fayetteville experienced unsafe gear indication prior to landing. Nose gear collapsed on rollout 1433 CDT on September 19, 2002. No injury to pilots or 6 paxs. Pilot put landing gear in the down position. As gear was extending the pilot heard a popping sound and did not have a nose gear down and locked indication. The pilot diverted to xna and made a nose gear up, main down landing. Inspection of the nose gear, found that the nose gear actuator had failed causing the nose gear not to extend to the down and lock position.
