What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Dr. Vasey stated he had the brakes bled several days prior to flying from sylvia, KS to the Front Range Airport. During taxi out in sylvia the brakes felt normal and the subsequent flight to Denver was uneventful. Runway 8 was in use at ftg and the winds were from the se at less then five knots resulting in a quartering tail wind. The landing was normal but when he applied the brakes the left pedal went to the floor and the right one grabbed causing the aircraft to ground loop and then departe the runway. It tipped up on the left side and the left wing contacted the ground causing substantial damage to the left wing, wing spar and left elevator. The aircraft was dissassembled and transported to sylvia, KS for repairs.
