From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At approximately 1 am, shortly after departure from runway 11 at mlt, the entire aircraft electric system failed (including no battery power). The pilot checked circuit breakers and switches to no avail. He could still see the runway lights, so he decided to return to mlt for landing on runway 29 (4700 ft, paved, & dry/wind was calm). He went through the alternate landing gear extension procedure and made his landing with no flaps (electric flaps). As he touched-down, the landing gear collapsed and the aircraft slid to a stop on the runway. The pilot was alone and immediately exited the aircraft with no injuries. The prop was extensively damaged and the belly skins were also damaged. NE-FSDO-05 privacy data omitted
