From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft was inbound to chihuahua, Mexico when the pilot extended the landing gear but did not get a green light on the right main gear. He declared an emergency and returned to El Paso, Texas. The aircraft landed and the right main collapsed. The aircraft suffered minor damage. The single occupant pilot was not injured. The right main landing gear upper side brace, p/n 5141001-34, broke at the attach point. A malfunction or defect report was submitted by the operator. 156 records were found on a CE-402, ata 3200, spas query but none were attributed to the upper side brace thus, a safety recommendation was not forwarded.
