From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated that mso was reporting patchy ice and fair braking action on rwy 11 when he began the approach. Pilot stated that the aircraft skidded to the right on a patch of ice just after landing from the ILS iap to mso rwy 11, and swerved to the sideline of the runway where the propeller struck a landing light. He said he then regained control and returned to the center of the runway and taxiied to the ramp without further incident. Two blades of the right propeller were damaged, and one runway edge light was broken. (Note: aircraft inspected at mso on 12/05/02 to confirm "incident" status)
