What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Pilot reported that he was attempting a landing on runway 33 at the lfk airport when he bounced and the "plane started right... (And) exited teh runway." Reports from the pilot and others said that N107ES was stuck in the mud approximately 50 feet to the right of the edge of the runway and had to be retrieved by the aircraft owner's mechanic. Before the first report from the lfk airport manager about the aircraft stuck in the mud, the houston FSDO received another telephone report from cxo afss supervisor that N107ES had just been given a "lost aircraft" orientation after N107ES reported being lost on top of scattered to broken clouds. The pilot elected to divert to lfk because of deteriorating weather near the jxo airport which the pilot reported became a solid overcast with moderate turbulence after he descended below the clouds. Pilot said he believed he became lost during his enroute leg from the cfd airport to the jxo airport because he "failed to correct for wind changes". Reports from the pilot and the aircraft owner indicate that there were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.
