What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Mr. Drew, said that he had landed at this strip several times in the past. On the day of the accident he noticed the roll out was very short. He decided to taxi back and forth on the strip to tramp down the snow in his departure path. On departure the mains lifted off, the tail wheel drug in the snow and the aircraft settled back on the mains slowing the aircraft. Mr. Drew continued to apply full power until he encountered a ditch at the end of the strip that bent the main landing gear to the rear. The aircraft received a full power prop strike into the snow and earth, doing major damage to the prop and engine.
