From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While landing at the Merritt Island Airport on runway 11 the pilot touched down at approximately mid-field and at a higher speed than normal landing speed. The airplane veered to the right as the pilot applied harder braking to the right wheel than the left. After rolling approximately 200 feet in the grass between the runway and taxiway the nose wheel struck the lip of a crossing taxiway which caused the nose gear to start collapsing. The aircraft traveled 40 feet before the nose impacted the ground. Once the nose was down the airplane continued another 150 feet until coming to rest on the taxiway parallel runway 11.
