From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Flight was an instrument instruction flight on an IFR flight plan in IMC. Original flight plan was to depart bfi, fly to pae for multiple approaches, and return to bfi. Enroute to pae VOR they accumulated light rime ice. After conducting a VOR approach to pae they executed a missed approach. On climb out, instructor noted a slow climb rate and observed ice forming on the aircraft. They elected to land at pae and requested an ILS approach. During approach to landing, they reduced airspeed and the left wing stalled 10 to 15 feet above the runway. Upon touch down the aircraft veered left leaving the runway onto the grass. The nose wheel sank into the soft grass causing the airplane to flip over into an inverted position. There were no injuries.
