From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On February 15, 2003, at approximately 1230 EST, N19045, Cessna 150L, operated by American winds flight academy, inc. (14 CFR 141 AYKS742K) sustained minor damage during an aborted take-off manuever on runway 07 at Akron-Fulton international airport (akr) during a pleasure/instructional flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed. No flight plan was filed. Neither the appropriately rated commercial pilot with a flight instructor rating or the student pilot suffered any injury. The intended destination was carroll county airport (TSO), carrollton, OH. According to the flight instructor, the initial take-off didn't feel right. At an altitude of approximately 30' AGL, he elected to abort the takeoff by reducing the power and pushing the nose down when he realized he was about to strike the runway, applied power to arrest the rate of descent. The aircraft struck the runway with all three wheels, simultaneously, bounced, power and elevator control was managed, aircraft control recovered, remainder of landing was normal. The flight instructor speculates that gusty cross wind conditions were contributing factors. Damage to aircraft was limited to nose wheel/tire, strut, and engine mount.

THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE RUNWAY WITH ALL THREE WHEELS, SIMULTANEOUSLY, BOUNCED, POWER AND ELEVATOR CONTROL WAS MANAGED, AIRCRAFT CONTROL RECOVERED, REMAINDER OF LANDING WAS NORMAL.
