From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On February 18, 2003, student pilot was attempting third landing of solo preparation when aircraft went off left side of runway 19L at taxiway juliet, hitting two taxiway lights with right landing gear. Pilot reported to CFI monitoring flights that she thought she had touched down and was attempting to correct aircraft to runway centerline, when aircraft landed and veered off the left side of the runway hitting the two taxiway lights. Aircraft inspection revealed right wheel fairing pushed in, no apparent landing gear damage. Maintenance agency inspected aircraft, found airworthy.
