From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On March 27th, 2003 at approximately 1815 hours local, a Cessna 172S (N613SP) piloted by student pilot Mr. Kevin p. noble was doing touch and go's at Cuyahoga County Airport (cgf). While attempting to land, Mr. Noble hit hard on the main landing gear and bounced approximately three times before landing on the runway. Mr. Noble believes that during one of the subsequent bounces he hit the prop on the pavement. Our findings were: damage to the propeller tips, firewall damage (substantial wrinkling and rivets pulled through near wheel mounts), wrinkled skin on belly aft of lower cowling-forward of gear strut, along with several other minor discrepancies. Other damage may be apparent when aircraft is repaired. Some binding in control yoke in evidence post accident that was not in evidence prior.
