From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At 0615 the aircraft started takeoff on a grass 1864 ft runway (09) which had a light dew. At approximately 65 KIAS the pilot indicated an animal ran onto the runway. The pilot pulled the aircraft off the runway 790 ft down the runway to miss the animal. The aircraft settled back to the ground with the left wing tip impacting a paved driveway where it skidded for 50 ft. and impacted an electrical transformer. Then the fuselage struck tree branches about 20 ft. in the air. The aircraft skidded on the ground for about 75 ft. where it impacted another tree, the aircraft came to rest upright but the engine had twisted 180 degrees. The top of the aircraft was ripped off from the right side to the left side. Fuel tanks remained intact with no fuel spill.
