From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Cleared for landing on rwy 23R at yip. Landing was normal at rwy centerline, slight wind from 240/250 degrees, plane was slowing down (no braking action used or intended) on the rwy after a normal 3-point landing. The plane suddenly veered hard right, brakes were ineffective to stop the turning and performing a go-around was not an option. The plane left the runway onto soft grass and subsequently ground looped. Left elevator damaged and left wing lightly hit the ground when stopped.
