What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) On may 24, 2003, at 1335 eastern daylight time with unrestricted visibility and calm wind, an experimental velocity 173, N33SV, registered to and operated by a private pilot Mr. Owen. Upon landing the nose gear of the subject airplane collapsed on runway 27 Mccollum field, Marietta, GA 30144. According to the pilot, preflight presented no indications of any problem. The takeoff and sightseeing flight over lake altoonh were smooth and normal. The touchdown of main gear was smooth. When the pilot eased the nose gear down oscillations erupted in the nose gear. The strut snapped off at the fuselage causing minor damage to the nose and one of the three-propeller blades. A visual inspection of the nose gear strut indicated a fatigue crack and corrosion.
