From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot departed ffc and flew to cco. While performing touch and go landings on runway 32 at Newnan-Coweta airport the pilot bounced the aircraft off the runway. As the aircraft was touching down for the second time a gust of wind from the right pushed the aircraft to the side of the runway. The pilot tried to gain control of the aircraft but was pushed off the left side of runway. While trying to get the aircraft straight and slowed down the right main landing gear hit a runway sign. Spinning the aircraft 180 degrees as it came to a stop.
