(-23) The pilot of aircraft N111CN gave the following statement. On Saturday June 8, 2003, I was doing pattern work in my Cessna 180 skywagon around 1530 hours at Palo Alto airport (pao) located in Palo Alto, California. The ATIS wind condition was 320/330 at 12/15KTS. On my second approach the wind sock WA straight at 90 deg (040) to the runway 31. I made a full stall landing over the center line and the plane was goind straight down the runway. Instantly upon landing I was hit by a sudden wind gust that, lifted my right wing. I was not able to get the plane level. In an effort to correct I used rudder to turn the plane off the right side of the runway trying to keep the left wing off the runway. Upon review of the incident I should have applied more aileron to hold the wing down. The aircraft received minor damage and the sole occupant was not injured. The aircraft was operated under CFR 14 part 91 and no flight plan was filed. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the incident.
