From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While completing a full stop landing on runway 04 at Evansville regional airport, aircraft overran the end of the runway approximately 150 feet. The landing threshold was displaced 1400 feet due to construction. ATCT personnel reported the approach and landing appeared normal. Weather was VMC and winds were light and variable. Pilot stated the touchdown was very smooth, and autospoilers were slow to deploy. In addition, he experienced difficulty in unlocking the thrust reversers. On the first attempt, he could not unlock the levers to the reverse position. Sensing the reversers were going to unlock asymmetrically, the pilot re-stowed the lever. On the second attempt the reversers deployed normally. The pilot realized it was too late to initiate a go-around and commenced heavy braking in an attempt to stop the aircraft. Aircraft exited the runway at about 10-15 mph with the aircraft coming to rest on a hard packed level surface. The only damage to the aircraft was a broken landing light.

As the FAA filed it
