From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon arrival in Mansfield @ 2115 the pilot selected landing gear down but nothing happened, no indication lights or motor running. The pilot claimed to have pulled and reset the landing gear circuit breaker at least 3, and up to 6 times, as well as recycling the gear. The pilot made three passes in front of the MFD control tower, on the first pass it was confirmed that the gear was not down. On the second and third pass the landing gear was down but the tower could not determine if the gear was locked. The pilot said he saw the "in transit" light at one point and thought he heard the motor run. At approx. 2145 the pilot elected to land without a positive gear indication. Upon landing the gear collapsed and the airplane skidded approximately 600'. The emergency gear extension system was never used.
