From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 12, 2003, Mr. Anthony kallivretakis was flying his aero commander 112 out of the meridan, Connecticut airport and flew locally for an estimated total of :30 minutes. Mr. Kallivretakis entered the traffic pattern at the meridan airport on a cross wind maneuver and selected approach flaps followed by a power reduction significant enough to activate the landing gear horn. Cognizant of the gear warning horn, Mr. Kallivretakis was intending to lower the gear before landing but he wanted to delay it awhile because he was only turning the crosswind to downwind leg at this time. Mr. Kallivretakis continued to configure his aircraft for landing without the landing being extended and despite the continuous gear warning horm, Mr. Kallivretakis landed without benefit of the landing gear. Mr. Kallivretakis adds that the noise of the engine blended with the sound of the warning horn.
