From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The PIC reported a loss of directional control at 105 knots just prior to V1 during takeoff roll. The takeoff was aborted and the aircraft veered left leaving the runway at the approach end of sjg rwy 13. The PIC further reported that the left main wheel brake was locked and would not release, causing the aircraft to continue veering left and could not be overcome using opposite rudder and the right main wheel brake. A visual inspection of the runway by the FAA investigating inspector observed approximately 2000' of skid marks from the left main tire. The cockpit voice recorder was removed and sent to the NTSB lab in Washington DC for dissemination of crew actions and conversations prior to, during, and after the accident. No system test have been performed on the aircraft by FAA or NTSB to date 08-21-03. The investigation continues.
