From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated he departed rockport, TX with two passengers. He stated his approach to runway 33 at belleville, TX (06R) was steep because of the trees at the end of the runway and he used full flaps. The first landing was hard and the aircraft bounced into the air. The aircraft bounced a second time and the pilot decided to attempt a go around. He stated he was not getting enough lift to clear the trees in front of him so he decided to turn to the left and land in a pasture. Aircraft sustained substantial damage. No injuries were reported.
