The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) On 9/03/03 Beech N584MW, departed Brackett airport. During approach into porterville airport, the pilot noticed only two green main gear lights and a red unsafe gear light. The pilot stated he recycled the gear, but the nose gear light still did not come on. The pilot further stated that he requested a flyby. The porterville tower reported that the nose gear did not appear to be down and locked. The pilot stated that since his maintenance is performed on the Brackett airport, that he would make his two wheel landing there. Following the nose up landing, maintenance raised the aircraft and found the nose gear control arm (p/n 35-825174) was broken. On 9/04/03, inspectors from the lax FSDO inspected the aircraft parked on the Brackett airport. Also, the failed part was examined. Following a complete inspection of the landing gear system, a SDR will be sent to the FAA.
