From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At the beginning of a descent into ponce, puerto rico N630VC lost power on no. 1 engine while at 6500 feet MSL. The pilot stated that he secured the no. 1 engine by placing the propeller into the feather position. The pilot stated that he then noticed the no. 2 engine was not developing power. At this time the pilot declared an emergency with the san juan air traffic control center. The pilot then attempted an emergency landing at a nearby soccer field. During the landing in the soccer field the pilot stated that he realized he did not have enough room and decided to abort the landing, cross over the trees at the end of the soccer field and land in an adjacent athletic track. N630VC subsequently struck a tree and contacted high power electrical cables resulting in a crash in the athletic track field. The aircraft was destroyed.
