From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot returning from air demonstration at fit, and was taxiing to tie down after landing on runway 23. Pilot entered the north end of the east tower ramp from taxiway "t" and struck a Piper aztec tied down at the north end of the eastern most row of aircraft. The T-6'S left wing rode up onto the nose of the aztec while the left main gear and propeller contacted the aztec's left wing. The aztec was unoccupied. Only the pilot was in the T-6.
