From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot and only occupant landed rw 16 at gxy and during the landing got the right wheel in the grass. He made the decision to continue his landing roll on the grass. Thinking that he may have contacted a runway light, he stopped the aircraft, got out and looked for damage. Finding no damage he got back into the aircraft, started it and proceeded to taxi to parking. While attempting to get the taxi started in the soft grass, he applied excessive power and nosed the aircraft over. Damage to the aircraft was limited to the prop and sudden stoppage of the engine. He was not injured during the incident but received a shoulder injury secondary to the incident after departing the aircraft the second time.
