From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After landing on runway 31 and rolling out approximately 1500 feet, the landing gear collapsed. Gear indications and operation were normal prior to the incident. No injuries or damage to anything other than the aircraft. The aircraft was jacked, gear extended manually and towed to hangar. The gear actuating bellcrank was broken, indicating that the gear was apparently not secured by the downlocks. After the aircraft is inspected and repaired the repairing agency is to submit a malfunction/defect report describing the failure. The last annual inspection and gear retraction test was 9/14/02.
