From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) When conducting night landing aircraft was landed gear up. Pilot and passenger stated that aircraft was showing gear down light and there was no gear warning horn prior to touch down. Pilot did not visually verify gear down prior to landing. Aircraft had been in maintenance for correction of intermittent landing gear discrepancy on 08/03 with repair noted to up lock and down lock wiring. Subsequent to gear up landing, maintenance duplicated gear cycling failure and incorrect gear warning horn setting which was corrected with adjustment of squat switch and mp setting for gear warning horn. Pilot was counseled regarding use of positive visual verification for gear down when permitted by aircraft configuration.
