From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 10-08-2003 at 1030 CDT, a PA-28R-201, N285ND, owned by the university of north dakota and flown by krista greydanus failed to lower the landing gear while practicing landings at Hillsboro, ND. The private pilot and sole occupant of the aircraft realized the gear was not extended during the flare and made a go-around returning to grand forks. Damage to the propeller (1/2" curl on prop tips) was noted after shutdown but the prop strike was undetected at the time of the event.
