From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On October 12, 2003, N100UE a Beech king air sustained a gear collapse after landing at the Pell City, Alabama airport. The pilot reported he lowered the landing gear lever and on left downwind noticed no green lights. The pilot visually checked the nose gear with mirror attached to left engine and determined it was down. The pilot contacted the airport and requested a low pass with visual inspection of landing gear position. FBO personnel relayed the gear appeared down and locked. The pilot performed several landing gear recycles attempting to obtain three green lights until he noted a burning smell in cockpit. He reported the smell to the FBO, pulled the circuit breakers to the landing gear, released the manual hand pump and attempted to manually pump down the gear. After manually pumping the gear the pilot still did not have a light indication of gear down and locked. The pilot was instructed by ground observers that the gear appeared down and locked. The pilot attempted to land the aircraft. The aircraft rolled on the runway approximately 3000' before the left gear collapsed followed by the right gear. The aircraft continued 254 feet down runway with main gear collapsed.
