From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On landing roll-out the main gear of the amphibious floats retracted. The pilot thought he was experiencing a flat tire. He veered the aircraft off the runway in an attempt to minimize damage. The pilot stated that all indications were indicating the landing gear were "down and locked". The witness flags (indicating gear extended) on the float decks and four green lights in the cockpit verified gear-down position. There was no obvious explanation for the gear to have retracted during a preliminary inspection. A thorough inspection is being conducted to determine the cause.
