From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After making a low pass over runway 18 at blueridge airport, located near Oak Hill, Florida, the pilot of let, N137MS, re-entered the traffic pattern to land on runway 18. When the pilot turned left base, he determined that he was too close to the approach end of the runway and elected to make a right turn to a heading of approximately 330 degrees in order to depart the pattern and re-enter on a right base to runway 18. While on a heading of approximately 330 degrees and at an altitude of approximately 350 feet, the aircraft stalled and spun to the right. During the uncontrolled descent, the aircraft rotated approximately 240 degrees before striking branches of a large oak tree, and then impacting the ground, nose first, on a heading of approximately 210 degrees. The pilot sustained serious injuries, and his passenger received minor injuries. The aircraft was substantially damaged.
