From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At 1546E, executive jet aviation flight 353, a C560, landed on runway 1 and the tower observed smoke emitting from the left engine while exiting onto taxiway "a". The ARFF responded and there was no fire observed. The aircraft was towed to the ramp without incident. Conducted on scene interviews with maintenance personnel and reviewed flight log. Aircraft flight log documented three discrepancies, as follows: (1) "left engine smoke on post landing taxi needs evaluation. Conditions at alb clear/cold (-17C)-dry runways/taxiways" (2) "both LH and RH engine fire bottles were deployed upon discovery of (left) engine smoke on post-landing taxi." (3) "upon landing rollout received 'arm' light only on left engine. Taxi in retry of left t/r deployment resulted in same results with large amounts of smoke." Requested a statement from the pilot via poi for clarification of event chronology. (-23 amendement) received faxed pilot statement via poi. Pilot statement: upon arrival at alb on a ferry flight from cha and deploying both engine t/r's on landing rollout, received an arm only light on the LH engine. Fo mentioned that there was no deployed t/r feel from the LH side, but stopped air craft safely and exited rwy 1 taxiing via the parallel taxiway to the FBO. A second attempt to deploy the LH t/r had the same result, but with a large amount of white/gray smoke. Tower confirmed the smoke from LH engine and advised crew to deplane. Crew requested fire trucks and performed the emergency evacuation checklist, exiting the aircraft. ARFF arrived and observed no fire-smoke damage. No indication of fire via fire warning lights, but both fire bottles (4 squibs) were discharged by crew during emergency evacuation checklist procedures.

As the FAA filed it
