From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Last report received from den center was 1/2 inch slush reported by pub tower on shutdown at 2200 MST. Captain itani made a low pass over the field and decided runway 08 was the best choice considering wind and runway conditions. Captain itani reported normal touchdown, however, when the aircraft failed to decelerate normally with brakes alone, he elected to deploy the tr's (thrust reversers). On deployment the aircraft yawed to the left and departed the runway approximately mid point and rotated about 200-225 degrees counter clockwise coming to a rest headed in a south westerly direction. The right main gear had collapsed and the pilots shut the engines off using the fire handles. The outside air temperature was approximately 0 degrees c on landing and the runway braking action appeared to be less than "good". Apparently the tr's failed to deploy simultaneously and caused the aircraft to yaw to the left and the pilot reported he was unable to keep the aircraft aligned with the runway with differential braking. The right thrust reverser was observed in the stowed position and the left thrust reverser was deployed. The engines are scheduled for a functionality check. (-23 amendment) a functionality thrust reverser check was performed on both engines by the NTSB on 3/24/04 at the Pueblo airport for proper deployment of both reversers. The left thrust reverser deployed properly, however, the right reverser failed to deploy properly.

As the FAA filed it
