From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft departed cma bound for san around 1200 hours. The pilot stated that after take off he retracted the landing gear but the intransit light did not go out. He then attempted to lower the gear and had down and locked indications for the main gear but not the nose. The intransit light stayed on. He then performed a manual gear extension but still did not get a down and locked light for the nose gear. He then flew by the tower who notified him that the nose gear did not appear to be down and locked. He declared an emergency and upon landing the nose gear collapsed. Damage to the airframe was minimal however the prop struck the runway and was damaged. No one was injured.
